Missing legendary folk singer Linda Perhacs

The search for psychedelic folk singer and cult legend Linda Perhacs, 82, is currently underway following a report that she has been missing.

A post shared on Instagram by Perhacs’ former manager Laurel Stearns, DubLab co-founder Mark “Frosty” McNeill, and collaborators Jessica Hundley and Julia Holter brought this pressing situation to light. The message, which featured a plea for help, highlighted that Linda Perhacs had been discharged from a residential care facility approximately eight months ago under the supervision of her legal guardian.

Since her release, friends and longtime collaborators have been unable to reach her. Repeated attempts to contact her guardian regarding her whereabouts have reportedly gone unanswered, raising serious concerns about her well-being.

Stearns disclosed that she filed a missing persons report with the Los Angeles Police Department on June 6. However, an investigation reportedly faced complications, as the police were unable to relay Perhacs’ status to Stearns or other friends because they were not legally tied to the musician, whether as family members or caregivers with power of attorney.
