Ministry announces final album & goodbye tour hear Burned Out

The heavy artillery of metal has delivered a statement. Ministry has announced their final album, Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery), set to drop just in time for Halloween on October 30 via Cleopatra Records.

The announcement comes with a reflection from the band’s frontman, Al Jourgensen, who summed up the journey with a wry sense of finality. “I’m fucking done. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished. I’m amazed at the path that it’s taken, from With Sympathy to where we’re at today, and all points in between,” Jourgensen stated, adding a self-aware punchline: “It’s been quite a ride, but I’m completely at peace with the fact that it’s done. It’s time to herd goats.”

The new record is a sprawling exploration of decades of industrial metal history, featuring a tracklist that dives deep into their sonic DNA. The album includes tracks such as Burned Out, which serves as an immediate jolt of pure Ministry energy, alongside deeper cuts like Voices of Hate and The White Man Lied.

Burned Out itself is a six-minute sonic assault—a perfect distillation of four decades of Ministry’s sound. It pulses with gurgling synths, relentless drum machines, heavy metal guitars, and samples drawn from everything from news reports to pop culture references. One lyrical snippet captures the chaotic philosophy perfectly: “I’M NOT SURE IF THIS WORLD SURVIVES / I CAN’T TELL YOU WHAT’S TRUTH OR LIES / IT DOESN’T MATTER IF YOU’RE LEFT OR RIGHT / WE’RE ALL DEAD UNLESS WE ALL UNITE.”

The album is thoughtfully completed, featuring former bandmate Paul Barker on the closing track, “We’re Still Here,” lending a poignant final note to the collection. The lineup for this effort includes guitarists Monte Pittman and Cesar Soto, bassist Paul D’ Amour, keyboardist John Bechdel, and drummer Pepe Clarke Magaña.

The initial taste of the new material is embodied in the single “Burned Out.” Beyond the album, Ministry is gearing up for a farewell tour scheduled for 2027, kicking off with European and UK dates starting in April. While North American show dates are still being finalized, major appearances have already been locked in, including a performance at Red Rocks supporting Acid Bath and an appearance at the Louder Than Life festival.
