The road is calling, and Metallica isn’t planning on hitting the brakes. The legendary band is preparing for a massive return to the road with an extended North American stadium run in 2027, cementing their status as one of the biggest live musical spectacles on the planet.

Following their recent residency at Las Vegas Sphere, the band is setting up a monumental M72 World Tour extension, stretching the blockbuster trek into its fifth year. This next chapter promises to take fans on an epic journey, blending iconic music with the thrill of stadium performance across the continent.

The tour kicks off with a spectacular debut at Las Vegas, featuring the residency Life Burns Faster, which runs from October 1 through March 13, 2027. After that unforgettable experience, the band is gearing up for the next phase of their stadium adventure.

The extended M72 tour will begin its journey in May 2027, launching with a massive event at BC Place in Vancouver, before hitting the road across North America. The route is ambitious, encompassing a dozen new cities and bringing in exciting support acts, including Limp Bizkit and Avatar, adding a fresh dynamic to the experience.

The itinerary is packed with high-energy dates, starting May 8th in Vancouver and culminating in Salt Lake City on June 19th. The schedule includes major stops such as San Diego, El Paso, San Antonio, Kansas City, and Cleveland, ensuring that fans across the continent get to witness the spectacle.

This extended tour builds upon a legacy that already spans nearly four years. Since launching in April 2023, the M72 tour has already delivered 99 shows across 26 countries, drawing nearly five million members of the “Metallica family” to the stage. The production value remains unmatched, featuring the band’s distinctive sound and massive in-the-round stage, making M72 one of Metallica’s most significant live undertakings.

Beyond the music, the tour continues to embody the band’s commitment to philanthropy. A significant portion of proceeds from every ticket sold is donated to local charities through Metallica’s All Within My Hands foundation, ensuring that the journey benefits the communities they tour through.
