Martron and Tauklo collaborate on “Hit The Road” EP

The sound of momentum is hitting the airwaves, and the Los Angeles-based producer, multi-instrumentalist, and classically trained musician Martron isn’t slowing down. He has teamed up with longtime collaborator Tauklo for the bright indie-electronic single, Hit The Road, which offers an electrifying preview of his forthcoming Drive EP.

Hit The Road is an irresistible sonic ride, built around a bouncy drum & bass groove and melodies that stick with you long after the track fades. It’s anchored by Tauklo’s unmistakable vocal delivery, crafting a track that perfectly embodies the spirit of taking risks and pushing forward no matter what gets in the way. The refrain transforms into a motivating mantra: when something spurs you forward, you move before the moment passes. Martron adds an organic, unexpected touch with a burst of flute chords that cut beautifully through the colorful electronic production.

This track wasn’t just a spontaneous hit; it was the realization of an idea Martron had been circling for years. He knew it had the potential to be the lead single for the Drive project, but he needed a voice that matched the energy. That’s when he reached out to Tauklo, a connection spanning more than a decade, and a bond that feels like brotherhood. While Martron has produced numerous records for Tauklo over the years, this collaboration marks a special milestone, as it is the second time they have released a project under their shared name.

The release of Hit The Road follows closely on the heels of Martron’s earlier work, including the EP Passion, which focused on introspection—digging into identity, roots, and defining oneself. If Passion was about discovery, Drive asks the essential follow-up question: what comes next? Martron poured his recent introspection into the previous work, and now he leans into a sound that is noticeably more energetic, heavier, and darker, designed to provide the answers to those weighty questions.

Martron’s momentum extends far beyond the studio. He has garnered significant attention from major industry names, including UKF, Roland, and GQ, and his work has been featured in Apple’s “Shot on iPhone” campaign. His music has found a strong foothold across various playlists on Spotify, including Bass Arcade, Chill Tracks, and Metropolis. He is supported by a roster of influential artists like ODESZA, NGHTMRE, SLANDER, Niiko x SWAE, and Steve Aoki.

With Hit The Road officially out now, fans can dive into the track and get a taste of Martron’s evolving vision. The full Drive EP is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, October 27, promising an exciting continuation of this powerful musical journey.
