Traveler’s Faith is a deeply personal chronicle, available now through DEEWEE Books and distributed by Antenne Books. The collection is a rich tapestry of experience, printed in a run of 740 copies. It pulls together 30 original poems alongside evocative photography and lyrics drawn from her acclaimed work on City of Clowns.
Spanning 184 pages, the book offers readers a window into Davidson’s journey on the road. It is more than just poetry; it is an honest exploration of existence, framed by the inherent tensions of life.
In reflecting on the creative process, Davidson shared a philosophy that rings true for anyone navigating life’s inevitable ups and downs. She noted that writing poetry is akin to creating a song—a spontaneous act that demands letting go of planning and simply doing. “There is no use in trying to be something other than what you are,” she stated. “Over and over, you must get up, rise from your dirty bed, and try to live your life fully.”
Her perspective on emotional reality is grounded yet deeply human. She acknowledged the complex mix of pain and gain that defines experience: “There is a part of pain in everything I’ve ever loved. Every gain means compromise, every loss is a chance to learn.”

She speaks of a peace that is always sought but remains elusive, much like a desired meal that never quite arrives: “Peace of heart in sight, yet always out of reach, nagging me like the pizza that I will never eat.”
