Making Time sets the standard for East Coast Raving
Every September, the leafy Philadelphia hinterlands undergo a spectacular transformation, turning a historic landscape into a surreal dance arena.
The scene is set on a 1770s historic site, where the past meets the present in a dizzying blend of history and high-energy revelry. Picnic blankets brush against the sturdy brick walls of Fort Mifflin as aircraft descend overhead, setting the stage for an event unlike any other.
This is where history takes a wild turn. Bombproof shelters, once designed for military defense, evolve into unexpected natural wine caves. Muddy parade grounds, originally intended for drills, become vibrant spaces where ravers swarm the grounds.
The transformation is complete, weaving together forgotten military history with contemporary culture. Grassy patches along the Delaware River are transformed into canvases, decorated with hanging strobes and a tent that playfully resembles a polyester Pringle.
The artistic vision continues deep into the water, where lasers from Klip Collective flicker across the algae in the Liquid Moat, adding a futuristic glow to the scene.
Underpinning this epic visual feast is the guiding philosophy of the gathering: Peace Love Unity Respect Transcendence, or PLURT. This shared motto serves as the energetic foundation for Making Time ∞, attracting an expanding, refreshingly curious audience eager to experience this unique intersection of history, art, and celebration.
