‘MagicLand’ Musical Comedy Screenings in Toronto This Fall

Toronto’s cultural scene is gearing up for a divine diversion this November, as the local arts community prepares to welcome MagicLand, a musical comedy that promises to be as illogical and enchanting as the myths they explore.

This cinematic debut is brought to life by local creator Jaymz Bee, a musician, broadcaster, and filmmaker known for weaving unique narratives. MagicLand plunges audiences into a whimsical tale centered on the timeless conflict of Athena, who falls for the self-absorbed Narcissus.

The production shines with an ensemble cast and collaborative creativity. Bee co-wrote the screenplay with poet and songwriter Robert Priest, adding depth to the mythological framework. The film features a stellar collection of actors, including Denielle Bassels, Serafin LaRiviere, Melleefresh, Barbra Lica, Lori Cullen, John Finley, Great Bob Scott, Joanna Majoko, Maureen Honoré, and Lorenzo DiGianfelice, among others, bringing the ancient drama to vibrant modern life.

As part of the spectacle, Jaymz Bee also steps into the role of Zeus, further deepening the epic scope of the story.

Mark your calendars, as this mythological masterpiece will be available for viewing at three premier Toronto cinemas. Audiences can catch the feature at the Fox Theatre on November 9, the Royal on November 11, and the Redwood Theatre on November 20.

The experience is designed to be a full sensory event. Each screening will kick off with captivating music videos from Vesuvius Music at 7:30 p.m., setting the perfect mood before the story unfolds.

To enhance the theatrical experience, Jaymz Bee will be present at every showing to host a post-screening Q&A, offering fans a chance to delve into the creative process and the world of MagicLand.

For those wishing to immerse themselves further in the world of the film, tickets and details, along with copies of the MagicLand soundtrack, are available online.
