Madra Salach drops debut album Gorta
Get ready for a sonic journey that is sure to grip you: the acclaimed Irish group Madra Salach is set to release their debut album, Gorta, on January 15th.
This Dublin six-piece is not just a collection of musicians; they are a phenomenal live proposition. They manage a captivating feat of blending a deep, undeniable awareness of traditional music with arrangements that are both daring and scorchingly emotional.
What makes Madra Salach so compelling is their masterful musical duality. Their sound navigates an intense spectrum, effortlessly moving between the raw energy of crunching, punk-adjacent thrash and the vulnerability of plaintive folk melodies.
This dynamic range ensures that every performance is intense yet gripping, offering listeners an experience that is both deeply rooted and wildly adventurous. It is this tension between the traditional and the modern, the raw and the refined, that defines their unique artistic voice.
