Mac Miller Estate drops new music including Butterflies

The music world is celebrating a milestone, and the legacy of Mac Miller is stepping into the spotlight with a long-awaited anniversary reissue. The estate of the late singer has announced a new release of the album The Divine Feminine, marking its 10th anniversary and adding fresh, previously unreleased tracks to the collection.

The album, which arrived in 2016, marked a pivotal shift in Miller’s career. While earlier works explored his rap-dominated sound, this record dove into a more heartfelt, conceptual exploration of love and the sacred energy of women. Now, the estate is giving fans an even deeper look into this pivotal era, bundling the original tracks with three brand new songs.

Set for release on October 2nd, the anniversary edition will be available digitally and as a deluxe 3LP vinyl. The new content promises to offer a unique perspective on Miller’s creative journey.

Among the newly unveiled songs is the debut track, Butterfly. This new addition features compelling production work from Taylor Graves and features a deep, funky bass line courtesy of Miller’s longtime collaborator, Thundercat. The track is already available for listeners to enjoy.

The full reissue features the original tracklist, which includes hits like Dang! featuring Anderson .Paak, We with CeeLo Green, and My Favorite Part with Ariana Grande, alongside tracks like God Is Fair, Sexy, Nasty featuring Kendrick Lamar.

Beyond the musical release, the estate has also launched a new interactive website dedicated to the late artist. Designed in collaboration with James Musgrave and Kate Doyle, this site serves as an engaging tribute, featuring archival media from friends and colleagues that provide an immersive look at Mac Miller’s life and work.

This commitment to preserving and celebrating his artistic vision extends to all facets of his career. It reminds us that the impact of Mac Miller resonates far beyond the music, leaving a rich tapestry of creativity for all to explore.
