The first record, Stove, emerged as a testament to growth and joy. Fans have already enjoyed glimpses of this classic album through live performances of tracks like “Stars Fell on Alabama,” “Henry, come on,” and “Quiet in the South.” Del Rey described Stove as lovely and intact, a beautiful document of what she expected from that period of life.
Complementing it is Spyda, her secondary album, which she calls a commentary on everything that unfolded over the past several years. If Stove represented joy, Spyda was born from a complex mix of doubt, hopefulness, and the realization that new beginnings require starting completely fresh.
