KPop Demon Hunters invade Monopoly Go
Monopoly Go! Unleashes ‘Monster Mash‘ Season with KPop Demon Hunters and Ghostbusters Collaboration
Get ready to mash up the supernatural with some high-energy K-Pop flair! The hugely popular free-to-play mobile game Monopoly Go! is gearing up for a wildly creative Halloween event with the launch of the Monster Mash season, bringing together two iconic franchises: KPop Demon Hunters and Ghostbusters.
For over 10 million daily players, the goal remains the same—earn as much money as possible—but this season throws players (or Tycoons, as they are known) into a world of thrills, chills, and unforgettable mischief. The action kicks off tomorrow, September 23th.
The collaboration is a spectacular journey for players, blending epic adventures from Seoul and the Underworld with classic paranormal investigations. Players will dive into the world of KPop Demon Hunters through dynamic mini-games and immersive adventures featuring HUNTR/X, the Saja Boys, and their epic quest through Seoul and the Underworld. To enhance the experience, the hit songs ‘Golden’ and ‘How It’s Done’ will be integrated directly into the game’s soundtrack.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. Fans of the classic paranormal team can also join the fray with the Ghostbusters. Players will get to participate in a racing minigame, team up with friends to bring Ghostbusters-themed attractions to life, and explore the iconic Firehouse armed with a Proton Blaster to uncover exciting rewards.
Adding another layer of collectible fun, the collaboration also introduces Blocks Boutique, a shop inspired by KPop Demon Hunters. This boutique is packed with digital collectables and offers a live HUNTR/X concert experience where players can hunt for hidden treasures.
This ‘Monster Mash‘ season runs from September 23rd through November 25th, providing players with a festive and engaging experience that perfectly captures the spirit of Halloween. This period follows a broader, exciting takeover of the mobile game by the theme of The Simpsons.
Victor Diaz-Roig, boss of Monopoly Go!, reflected on the initiative, stating that the season is all about getting together with friends, sharing a little mischief, and embracing the unexpected. He emphasized that their teams approached the ‘Monster Mash‘ season with incredible care, designing every element to ensure that players could enjoy brand-new ways to play together.
