Kings of Leon announces nostalgic album O My Beloved and single My Whole World
Kings of Leon Delivers Nostalgic Deep Dive with New Album ‘O My Beloved‘
Tennessee rock giants Kings of Leon are turning the spotlight inward with their latest offering, the deeply nostalgic album O My Beloved. Following up their previous work, the band has released the tender single My Whole World, inviting listeners into a reflective journey filled with appreciation for life, family, and the journey that brought them to where they are today.
Scheduled for release on November 6 via Love Tap Records, this new record marks their tenth album and promises to be their most intimate and unguarded body of work yet. The album’s thirteen tracks are centered around reminiscence, allowing frontman Caleb Followill and co. to look back at the people, experiences, and pivotal moments that have shaped them.
The lead single, My Whole World, immediately captures this theme, showcasing core emotions of gratitude and deep appreciation for the life that underpins the entire collection. It’s a heartfelt introduction to the emotional landscape of the new album.
Speaking about the project, Caleb Followill shared that the album feels like a love letter directed at their family and the fans who have been integral to their journey. “We have already surpassed anything we ever imagined we could do, and we’ve built something that is so special,” he explained. “I thought, wouldn’t it be beautiful to make an album that is looking back on all of the things that we’ve done and appreciating how we got here.”
Followill continued, noting how the songs pull in memories of childhood and early experiences, revealing the profound impact these seemingly small moments had on his life. “In the songs, there’s our families, stories from our childhood, things that maybe didn’t seem that significant at the time, but the way they find their way into these songs kind of lets me realise how impactful they really were in my life.”
The tracklist for O My Beloved includes titles such as Intro, My Whole World, Cold Blue Dawn, The Hand, Rose, Make It Count, and Warm Company, offering a richly textured experience of memory and reflection.
To celebrate this announcement, Kings of Leon is inviting fans to experience the new music in an incredibly personal setting. The band is performing an intimate, one-off show tonight (Thursday September 10) at Basement East in Nashville. This performance offers a stark contrast to the massive headline tours they are now accustomed to, taking them back to the small clubs where they first honed their craft as teenagers.
Tickets for this unique event are available only on the door tonight and will be strictly limited to two per person, promising an unforgettable, raw experience for those who can secure a spot.
