Kings of Leon announce massive 2027 London O2 show

The road trip continues, and the music is hitting a new destination. Tennessee rockers Kings of Leon have announced a monumental summer performance, set to take place at London’s The O2, marking a major milestone for the band and a celebration of a landmark venue.

Fans can mark their calendars for July 2, 2027, when the band will take the stage at The O2. This isn’t just any gig; it’s part of a spectacular series celebrating the venue’s 20-year anniversary, positioning the concert within a grand celebration of music history.

This appearance holds special significance, as it marks the band’s first London show since their record-breaking fifth headline date at BST Hyde Park in 2024, solidifying their status as major global forces.

The energy surrounding the concert is amplified by the forthcoming release of the band’s tenth studio album, ‘O My Beloved’. This new work is described as one of the most intimate and reflective releases yet, offering a journey that looks back over the band’s shared history, families, and two decades of musical evolution.

Caleb Followill, the band’s frontman, shared the reflective tone of the album, noting, “I thought, wouldn’t it be beautiful to make an album that is looking back on all of the things that we’ve done and appreciating how we got here.”

The anticipation for the album is already building, following the success of their previous release, ‘Can We Please Have Fun’, which garnered three stars from NME and was hailed as one of the band’s most promising records for over a decade.

To kick off the excitement, Kings of Leon recently launched the ‘O My Beloved’ era with an intimate show in Nashville, debuting tracks like ‘My Whole World’ and featuring Zach Bryan for ‘Bowery’. They also shared a second single, ‘Cold Blue Dawn’, accompanied by a visually stunning lyric video.

The upcoming London show is poised to be a fitting culmination of this reflective period, bringing the deeply personal sound of ‘O My Beloved’ to the iconic setting of The O2. It promises to be more than just a concert; it will be a retrospective celebration of a legendary run and a heartfelt look at the journey of the band.
