Kim Mitchell plays Max Webster at Niagara Falls Show
A Celebration of Sound: Max Webster Legacy to Shine at Niagara Falls
Musicians and music lovers are gearing up for a powerful tribute to a legendary catalog, as guitarist and bandleader Kim Mitchell is preparing to bring the iconic sounds of Max Webster to Niagara Falls next spring.
Mitchell has announced plans for a special performance where he will celebrate the enduring legacy of the Max Webster band. This upcoming concert promises to be more than just a show; it is a heartfelt evening dedicated to honoring the music and the musicians who made it possible.
The event is scheduled for March 12 at the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Fans will have the chance to experience a full set of Max Webster songs live, offering a nostalgic journey through the band’s iconic work.
This performance carries a deeper meaning as Mitchell plans to use the platform to honor those who have left the stage. He intends to pay special tribute to longtime drummer Gary McCracken, who passed away in September at the age of 75, alongside other cherished past members, Terry Watkinson and Pye Dubois.
“I’ve been really excited to perform a whole evening of Max Webster songs for the fans,” Mitchell shared about the upcoming show. “I’m saddened about the recent passings of Terry, Gary and Pye, and I intend to honor each of them while celebrating the music we created together.”
The concert is set to be a moving reminder of the collaborative spirit that defined the Max Webster sound. It bridges the gap between the legacy of the band and the vibrant energy of a live performance.
Tickets for this special event will go on sale this Friday, October 23, following presales which begin tomorrow, October 21, at 10 a.m. local time. Music enthusiasts are encouraged to head over to Concert Central to find more information about Canadian tour announcements and show listings.
