KATSEYE Joji Noah Kahan & More Get Special Releases for Black Friday
Get ready to tune up your vinyl collection, because the soundtrack to Black Friday is about to get a major upgrade. Record Store Day has announced its 2026 Black Friday lineup, promising a flood of limited-edition releases for independent record stores on November 27th. Forget hunting for electronics; this year, music fans have a serious reason to head to their local shop.
This year’s slate is packed with sought-after items, turning the traditional holiday shopping rush into a music discovery event. From new-generation pop stars to legendary rock icons, the selection covers virtually every corner of music fandom.
The excitement is centered around a stellar lineup of modern artists getting exclusive vinyl and special editions. For example, KATSEYE is set to release The Dance Breaks on 12-inch yellow vinyl, featuring live dance-break arrangements from their Beautiful Chaos Tour. Both members of the group, Manon and Sophia, will be included in these special recordings.
Other rising stars are also featured prominently. Artists like keshi, CORTIS, and sombr will have their music represented, alongside Holly Humberstone, who will offer a special 7-inch featuring performances from her BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge session.
The roster also includes deluxe editions and fascinating catalog reissues. Joji is diving in with a deluxe edition of Piss In The Wind, complete with new tracks and instrumentals. Meanwhile, Noah Kahan is bringing multiple formats to the table, including a 7-inch featuring “Draw You Out” and a 12-inch EP of The Last of the Bugs pressed on 180-gram Alpenglow vinyl.
For those who appreciate history, the lineup offers serious nostalgia. The classic catalog is getting a fresh spin: The Rolling Stones’ Aftermath will arrive on clear vinyl with extra package goodies, while George Harrison’s 33 1/3 and self-titled albums will be released as new zoetrope editions. Even established acts like Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band’s Night Moves will celebrate their 50th anniversary with a special pressing.
Vinyl debuts are also happening across the board, with titles like Barenaked Ladies’ Born on a Pirate Ship and Rock Spectacle> making their debut. Additionally, iconic artists like Stevie Nicks’ Bella Donna, 2Pac’ Pac’s Life, and New Edition’s Candy Girl are getting special editions.
Beyond new music, the event celebrates live performance, too. The lineup is stacked with performances from giants like Prince, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen, Marianne Faithfull, and Funkadelic, alongside sets from Brigitte Calls Me Baby, the Old ’97s, and Jeff Tweedy. Fans of rock and jazz will also find archival gems, including recordings from Charlie Parker and Bill Evans.
The soundtrack section is equally compelling, featuring a special Wicked package gathering music from both chapters of the film musical, and a holographic-art variant of KPop Demon Hunters.
With over 150 limited releases making their way to independent record stores, the 2026 RSD Black Friday lineup doesn’t just offer deals—it covers the entire spectrum of musical enthusiasm, ensuring there’s a perfect record waiting for every fan.
