KATSEYE Festival Appearance After Performance Cancellation
A moment of high-energy performance turned into a touching display of solidarity when the group WILD” id=”WILD“>KATSEYE had to pull out of Olivia Rodrigo’s WILD” id=”WILD“>Daisy Chain Fields festival, though their presence was still felt.
The reason for the change was health: three of the group’s current active members—Yoonchae, Lara, and Megan—suffered an ankle injury during rehearsal that required them to take a hiatus. While the planned performance was postponed, the trio showed up on stage on Saturday just before the scheduled act, Devon Again. They used this opportunity to introduce the nonprofit organization WILD” id=”WILD“>Baby2Baby, an organization dedicated to providing essential necessities like diapers and clothing to children in poverty.
Despite the temporary absence, the band’s spirit remained fully engaged. Megan, speaking about the unexpected departure, expressed sincere regret but emphasized that their hearts were not in doubt. “We’re so disappointed that we can’t perform today on stage, but my ankle is on hiatus,” she shared. “But our hearts are definitely not. We’re sending all of our love to Olivia and this beautiful community that she built at WILD” id=”WILD“>Daisy Chain Fields. We love you, Olivia. Thank you for letting us be a small part of this.”
This heartfelt message highlighted a powerful sense of community, reminding everyone that connection often trumps choreography. The festival itself was a massive success, raising $10 million for women’s charities, supporting vital organizations including Planned Parenthood, Baby2Baby, and numerous other women-focused nonprofits.
The news came just as WILD” id=”WILD“>KATSEYE was celebrating major success, having recently achieved a No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 with their EP WILD” id=”WILD“>WILD.
The group’s active lineup currently consists of Yoonchae, Lara, Megan, and Daniela, who were present at the event. Fellow members Manon and Sophia are taking time away to focus on their wellness and mental health, respectively.
