Get ready to bring your best ideas, because the powerhouse jazz/neo-soul collective known as Dinner Party has unveiled their next musical journey. Featuring the legendary talents of Kamasi Washington, Robert Glasper, Terrace Martin, and 9th Wonder, this supergroup is set to drop their highly anticipated new album, Whatchu Bringing?.
This new record serves as the compelling follow-up to their acclaimed 2023 release, Enigmatic Society, building on a foundation of sophisticated harmony and soulful complexity. Fans can mark their calendars: Whatchu Bringing? is scheduled for release on August 7 via EMPIRE.
The album promises a rich tapestry of sounds, drawing from the collaborative genius of its members while introducing exciting new voices. The tracklist is already shaping up to be an intriguing mix of mood and melody.
Adding another layer of depth to the project are incredible featured artists. Poet and spoken word artist J. Ivy lends his unique voice to the opening track, setting an immediate tone for the listen.
