Justice’s GTA VI Score Reveal in December

The soundtrack to a monumental video game experience is about to hit the record shelves, bringing the electrifying sound of Justice into the mainstream. The beloved French electronic duo is set to release Grand Theft Auto VI: Original Score on December 11, a collaboration spearheaded by Because Music, Ed Banger, and Rockstar Games.

This isn’t just a collection of songs; it is the sonic architecture of the game itself. The music was meticulously crafted by Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, who worked in close collaboration with Rockstar to design a soundscape that doesn’t just accompany the action, but responds dynamically to the player’s exploration of the fictional, Florida-esque state of Leonida. It’s a masterclass in world-building, ensuring the music captures the vast emotional and textural scope of the game’s sprawling geography.

Beyond the main score, the release is further enhanced by new material, including the single “Pusher,” which features the duo’s exciting first collaboration with fellow French electronic music innovator Gesaffelstein. This fresh energy promises to deepen the immersive world of GTA VI.

The physical release offers fans multiple ways to experience the score, arriving in two-CD and three-LP editions, plus a limited crystal-clear vinyl pressing alongside standard black vinyl. The album boasts 30 tracks and bonus digital material, collecting roughly three hours of music that mirrors the epic scale of the game.

Justice‘s track record speaks volumes about their influence. Earlier this month, the duo previewed the score with “Flower in a Hurricane,” a track that already became a career milestone, peaking at No. 62 on the Billboard Hot 100. The track features a stellar lineup including Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard.

The impact of the score has resonated across the music world, even touching artists like King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, who noted that some of their own tunes might find their way into the game’s sonic tapestry. As the anticipation builds, Justice will cap off their promotional push with a live DJ set at Simifest in Mexico City on December 5, offering an electrifying preview of their work.
