Justice and Gesaffelstein drop new GTA 6 track Pusher
The soundtrack for Grand Theft Auto 6 is not just background noise; it’s a full-blown cultural event, packed with high-energy collaborations and iconic sounds that are setting the tone for one of gaming’s biggest releases.
French electronic duo Justice, known for their explosive sound, have recently dropped a fresh track, ‘Pusher’, featuring the legendary DJ-producer Gesaffelstein, often dubbed “the dark prince of techno.” This bassy collaboration is already generating massive buzz, offering an intense musical backdrop for the sprawling world of Vice City.
The official score for GTA 6 is set to arrive on December 11th, hitting streaming services and physical media in double CD and triple vinyl formats. This release is a massive event, featuring the work of the seasoned duo, Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay, who have contributed significantly to the larger collection, ‘Grand Theft Auto 6 – The Album’, which boasts 34 brand new tracks from some of the biggest names in the industry.
Beyond the main score, the music woven into the game world is expansive. The in-game radio stations for GTA 6 have also been confirmed, featuring heavy hitters like Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, Robyn, and the iconic King Kerry and Tom Araya of Slayer.
The hype surrounding the game has been amplified by previous media events. Last month, Rockstar Games teamed up with Netflix for an extended look at the world of GTA 6. This 26-minute showcase captivated audiences, racking up more than 31.1 million views in its first few days and becoming the most-watched show on the streamer in 87 of the 93 countries that Netflix services.
The extended look featured an eclectic mix of music, including the enduring pop-rock classic Cliff Richard’s 1976 hit ‘Devil Woman’, which has enjoyed a significant streaming resurgence. Adding another layer of musical history, the veteran singer even revealed he doesn’t know what GTA 6 is, highlighting the massive, unexpected reach of classic sounds into modern gaming culture.
Even before the current soundtrack frenzy, there were whispers of other musical giants involved. One report suggested that Rockstar Games initially sought the involvement of Daft Punk for the game’s score, but the dance titans ultimately decided not to reform their legendary lineup for the project.
