Jerkcurb performs “Help You” in a new art studio session
Based in London, Jerkcurb is a vibrant artistic project spearheaded by musician, animator, and artist Jacob Read. This unique endeavor blends music, visual storytelling, and cinematic exploration, offering an immersive experience for those who dive into its world.
Read’s recent musical output has set a strong foundation for this new series. Last year, he released his sophomore album, Night Fishing on a Calm Lake, which was released on Handsome Dad Records and quickly garnered attention for its evocative soundscapes.
Building on this creative momentum, Read is now embarking on an exciting new chapter by helping launch a series of video sessions filmed across the United Kingdom. This collaborative effort brings his artistic vision to life through the lens of high-quality visual content, working alongside Grace O’Connor and her talented team.
The project officially kicked off with a memorable inaugural session held in Brighton. In this first event, Jerkcurb brought the sounds of Night Fishing on a Calm Lake to the spotlight. The performance took place in a charming, small art studio nestled on the southeast coast of England, where the music was paired with fresh visual storytelling, setting an immediate and engaging tone for the entire series.
