Jeff Tweedy covers Twisted Teens Wild Connection

Recently, Tweedy shared his take on Twisted Teens’ ‘Wild Connection’ from their album Blame The Clown, offering listeners a fresh perspective. “When I play their songs, I’m trying really hard not to do an imitation,” Tweedy reflects. “But one of the reasons I do so many cover songs is that I think it’s good to hear something you like and then see what it feels like to try it on, almost like clothes. Sometimes it feels right, sometimes it feels like I’m trying to find a way into sounding like myself.”
This exploration often leads to fascinating results. Tweedy noted that this process of vocal experimentation sometimes results in a feeling of echoing his own evolution. “On this one, I think I still sound like myself. I actually kind of feel like I maybe sound like a younger version of myself,” he shared.

While Tweedy is busy exploring the possibilities of vocal timbre, the band has been making moves that take them across continents, recently announcing three shows in Marrakech for next year, marking their first-ever performances in Africa.

His wide-ranging musical palette is further demonstrated by his collaborations and guest appearances, having shared the stage with talents like Hayley Williams, Waxahatchee, Weyes Blood, Rufus Wainwright, and Maren Morris during performances by Bleachers.
