Janky Bungag tours with new album Hangin’ Out & Hangin’ On

Vancouver-based Filipino-Canadian flatpicker Janky Bungag is ready to roll, announcing the release of his new album Hangin’ Out & Hangin’ On, which will hit Royal Mountain Records on November 6.

This new musical offering is not just a collection of songs; it’s a soundtrack to the Canadian landscape, promising a journey that takes fans from the West Coast right across Ontario and into the Maritimes this autumn. The album, featuring tracks like Losing Streak, Go Out and Sin, and the title track, Hangin’ Out & Hangin’ On, is set to capture the spirit of the road and the moments in between.

To kick off the adventure, Bungag is bringing the music home with a hometown gig at the Rickshaw Theatre in Vancouver on November 6. From there, the flatpicker is embarking on a sprawling Canadian tour, inviting audiences to experience his sound in diverse settings across the country.

The tour itinerary is packed with stops that will take listeners from the Pacific to the Great Lakes. Fans can catch Janky Bungag in Toronto at Dina’s Tavern on September 24, and then continue the journey through Ontario and beyond. Stops include the Dominion Tavern in Ottawa, the Broom Factory in Kingston, and the Niagara Artists Centre in St. Catharines.

The momentum continues as he travels down the corridor of Ontario, playing at Mills Hardware in Hamilton, Sonic Hall in Guelph, and Meteor in Windsor. The journey concludes in London with a performance at the London Brewing Co-operative on November 28.

This ambitious tour showcases the breadth of his songwriting, delivering new material to a wide regional audience. Fans looking to catch the full experience can find comprehensive details about the album and the full tour schedule, with tickets going on sale soon.
