HYBE names Juan S Arenas Global Label Services President
HYBE Global Restructures Label Services for Global Artist Expansion
HYBE is signaling a major push toward global integration and artist development by restructuring its label services. The division, formerly known as HYBE Label Services, has been rebranded as HYBE Global Label Services, or HGLS, with Juan S. Arenas appointed as its new president. This change reflects the company’s ambitious strategy to build a unified, global platform designed to support and super-serve HYBE’s artists across international markets.
The new vision for HGLS centers on creating a competitive edge for HYBE artists, setting the stage for exponential growth and widespread global expansion. This strategic move aims to establish consistent, integrated services across all labels, ensuring long-term development for talent worldwide.
Arenas brings a deep background in international music strategy to this leadership role. Previously, he served as the chief IP officer for HYBE AMERICAS and the chief operating officer for HYBE Latin America. In these roles, he was instrumental in redefining the company’s IP strategy and overseeing the positioning and international expansion of key music properties across Latin and U.S. markets.
His expertise has been recognized in the industry, as he was recently named to Billboard’s Latin Power Players list, underscoring his success in developing global music presence.
To execute this global vision, the HGLS leadership team has been expanded with executives bringing deep expertise in distribution and artist services. Nicole Csabai has been named senior vp of global distribution, based in Nashville. She will oversee HYBE’s entire catalog, as well as its DSP, commerce, and streaming efforts, ensuring seamless global distribution.
Csabai joins HYBE from Interscope Records, where her previous experience included roles focused on revenue and sales strategies for major record groups.
The team is further strengthened by Melissa Victor-Burkhardt, who has been appointed HYBE’s executive vp of global artist services, a newly created position based in Los Angeles. Reporting to Arenas, Victor-Burkhardt will lead HGLS’s Artist Success Unit, focusing on project management and providing expanded support across the entire global artist roster.
Victor-Burkhardt’s background is equally impressive, having spent 11 years as senior vp and head of publicity and brand strategy at Epic Records and six years as vp of media and artist relations at Universal Music Group. This combination of experience ensures that the new structure is built on a foundation of strong commercial acumen and artist relations.
