Hex Girlfriend drops new single ‘Sore Loser’ and UK tour dates
Hex Girlfriend has dropped their latest single, Sore Loser, delivering a potent wave of sonic energy that perfectly captures the unique blend of the duo’s creative vision.
The origins of the band are steeped in a vibrant, academic atmosphere. James Knott and Noah Yorke met and began collaborating while pursuing their studies at Goldsmiths, using the quiet hours of their halls of residence as the perfect backdrop for forging their musical identity. This intimate setting undoubtedly fueled the raw energy that now defines their sound.
Hex Girlfriend’s music is a fascinating collision of genres. They manage to fuse searing, ultra-bright pop melodies with the aggressive rhythms of breakcore and crunching textures, creating a sound that is both immediately catchy and intensely dynamic.
This blend is more than just a stylistic choice; it’s a reflection of the duality inherent in the duo’s work—a perfect marriage between melodic accessibility and hard-hitting sonic intensity. Their new release, Sore Loser, exemplifies this tightrope walk, offering listeners a blast of energy that keeps the mood perpetually high.
The single has quickly garnered attention, cementing Hex Girlfriend’s status as a compelling force in the contemporary music scene by presenting a distinctive and electrifying sound that demands attention.
