Hamilton Leithauser and Rostam Reunite for First Tour

Ten years after a legendary musical pairing blossomed, Walkmen frontman Hamilton Leithauser and Vampire Weekend co-founder Rostam are back on stage together for their first full North American tour. The reunion is set to celebrate the magic of their 2016 collaboration on the album I Had a Dream That You Were Mine.

This incredible run of eleven dates offers fans a chance to witness the dynamic chemistry that defined one of indie rock’s most unique partnerships. The tour kicks off on November 5th at Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club, starting in their shared hometown, and culminates on November 19th at Pacific Electric in Los Angeles.

The tour timing is particularly sweet, arriving just ahead of the album’s tenth anniversary. It follows a period where the duo had shared performances in major hubs like Los Angeles and New York, setting the stage for this much-anticipated return.

Their creative synergy began with a shared vision that bridged musical genres. While Leithauser provided the distinctive, often howling vocal delivery of the Walkmen, Rostam brought his meticulous production and songwriting expertise. Together, they crafted a sound that effortlessly blended doo-wop, country rock, baroque pop, folk, and torch song influences.

To mark their reunion, the pair also released a special piano rendition of the track “In a Black Out.” This stripped-down performance showcases the intimacy and depth of their connection, adding another layer of musical appreciation for their work.

Highlights include consecutive nights in Brooklyn at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on November 9th and 10th.
