Hailee Steinfeld’s ‘Hexed’ movie cover art reveal
Hailee Steinfeld is bringing a touch of sparkling magic to Disney’s upcoming animated feature, Hexed, where she not only leads the voice cast but also delivers an enchanting musical performance.
Steinfeld steps into the spotlight with a rendition of The Cars’ classic hit, “Magic.” This cover manages to honor the 1980s original while infusing it with a bright, contemporary pop sheen. Her vocals inject a fresh energy into the track, perfectly setting the tone for the fantastical world of the film.
“Just a little bit of magic pulls me through,” Steinfeld sings, adding a captivating layer to the melody, followed by the confident line, “I’ve got a hold on you.”
The magical theme is central to the story of Hexed, which follows Billie Doe, voiced by Steinfeld, as she discovers her hidden magical abilities. Billie embarks on a spectacular journey out of suburbia and into the realm of Hexe, a vast and enchanting witch realm. The film also features a compelling ensemble cast, including Rashida Jones, Jodie Foster, Walton Goggins, Tracey Ullman, and Stephen Fry.
Steinfeld’s knack for blending music and performance is already well-established. She has built a successful career charting with multiple songs on the Hot 100, including the 2016 hit “Starving” with Grey and Zedd, which peaked at number 12. This success highlights her ability to command audiences with her talent.
Her dedication to interdisciplinary work continues, as she recently recorded the original song “Dangerous” for the album Sinners. Steinfeld embraces this fusion, stating that blending music and acting feels like the fullest expression of who she is.
