Greta Van Fleet streams Palace For The People now
The rock world is buzzing with new sounds, and at the center of it all is the Michigan-based group Greta Van Fleet. They have just opened the virtual gates to their fourth studio album, Palace For The People, a collection that manages to blend classic rock grit with a distinctly modern edge.
The arrival of the new record felt like a midnight revelation, kicking off with an album featuring 13 tracks, including the already popular single “Tear It Down.” This release is the latest chapter in a journey that has already established the band’s presence in the charts, with a few songs from the new album having already made a splash during recent performances, including a memorable set on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Despite the undeniably powerful sound rooted in rock and roll, lead guitarist Jake Kiszka insists that the album is something more contemporary. “As much as it is a Greta Van Fleet record and a rock ‘n’ roll record at its core, in its heart, it’s a very modern record,” Kiszka commented, underscoring the band’s ability to evolve while staying true to their powerful identity.
The pedigree of the band is undeniable. Hailing from Frankenmuth, GVF has already garnered significant recognition, appearing on the Billboard 200 five times, including three top 10 placements. Their previous effort, Starcatcher from 2023, further cemented this status, peaking at No. 8 on the all-genres Billboard albums survey and earning a Grammy nomination for best rock album.
The creation of Palace For The People was a deliberate artistic process. The new collection was recorded in Tennessee during the spring of 2026, with the band collaborating with co-producer Mike Elizondo, bringing a unique layer of musical depth to the project.
Following the intense energy of their previous tour, the band took necessary time to regroup. Bassist and keyboardist Sam Kiszka shared that they needed a pause after the wildness of their recent touring schedule to find a more balanced approach. “We couldn’t handle each other anymore. No, we definitely had to take some time off after all the, the wildness of the intense touring… of just this tour. Everything in moderation, right? But no, we’re back, and … we’re coming back full steam, and it’s a lot of fun.”
With renewed energy, the group is gearing up for a massive global adventure. They are set to embark on the Into The Beginning Tour in 2027, a headline jaunt spanning North America and Europe. Promoted by Live Nation, this 59-city tour will hit major hubs including Savannah, GA, Chicago, Berlin, Milan, Amsterdam, Paris, London, and Toronto, before concluding in their home state on July 31 at Grand Rapids’ Acrisure Amphitheater.
The tour is packed with notable guests, including Arc De Soleil, The Kooks, and Portugal. The Man, promising an experience that perfectly matches the epic scope of their music. Frontman Josh Kiszka articulates the band’s driving philosophy: “The function of the artist is to provide what the universe cannot,” he explains. He aims to create a record that personifies adventure, passion, brutality, beauty, sex, and imagination, positioning the music as a “Palace for the People.”
Ultimately, the Greta Van Fleet story is one of relentless pursuit—translating the raw, complex human experience into unforgettable music, proving that when passion meets power, the results are monumental.
