Geordie Greep Cancels Tour Amid Sexual Assault Allegations

Musician Geordie Greep has abruptly halted his planned North American tour following a public response to serious sexual assault allegations that were raised against him in Vancouver.

The decision to cancel the remaining dates, which included shows in cities like Salt Lake City, Boulder, Denver, Omaha, and Des Moines, followed a period of intense public scrutiny. While Greep did not issue a formal statement regarding the tour stoppage, ticket holders were informed that most of the events had been cancelled, and some venues confirmed the cancellation of scheduled performances.

The catalyst for this shift came during a performance in Vancouver. On October 8th, flyers were reportedly handed out at the venue reading “Geordie Greep A Rapist“, intensifying the focus on the allegations Greep had faced.

Addressing the situation directly from the stage, Greep offered his perspective. He recounted a highly confusing and distressing experience that led to the allegations, explaining that it was a complete misunderstanding and that he felt extremely upset about the entire situation.

In his response, Greep firmly denied the serious claims leveled against him, stating clearly that he would never rape a woman and that the events described did not align with his actions. He expressed deep regret for the misunderstanding, emphasizing that he felt extremely sorry and upset about how the situation had unfolded.

Following this address, Greep performed a solo set without his band and offered refunds to attendees, demonstrating a commitment to addressing the circumstances surrounding the situation.

Despite the immediate disruption, Greep remains on the road. He has announced plans to resume his touring schedule, focusing on Europe, in November.
