Fontaines DC and Hayley Williams at Primavera Porto 2027
Primavera Sound Porto has dropped the first wave of acts for next year’s festival, setting the stage for an explosion of sound that promises to be both familiar and utterly electrifying. Leading the charge are some of the most anticipated names in modern music, including the formidable pairing of Fontaines DC and Hayley Williams, alongside the enigmatic presence of FKA Twigs.
The announced roster already signals a rich tapestry of sound, mixing established rock power with cutting-edge alternative pop. Attendees can expect a dynamic mix featuring heavy hitters like Chemical Brothers, Tinashe, Kim Petras, Bleachers, Anohni, and Metronomy, ensuring a high-energy experience across the festival grounds.
Beyond the massive names, the festival promises deep cuts and genre-bending experiences. The lineup is peppered with artists known for their atmospheric and emotive sounds, including Christine and the Queens, Underscores, Shygirl, Dinosaur Jr., Wilco, and Chvrches, who have recently celebrated the release of their new album, all the kings men and major.
The sonic landscape will also delve into experimental territory, with cult shoegazers DIIV set to deliver their new alt-pop material, ZIRP!, providing a powerful counterpoint to the mainstream acts. Other exciting sounds are on the horizon from English Teacher, Westside Cowboy, Raching Mount Pleasant, Maruja, Gurriers, and Friko, promising a truly diverse musical journey.
Rising popstar Sophia Stel is also confirmed to be a feature on the bill, sharing the stage with a host of other emerging talents, including Santiago Motorizado, Branko, PZ, Cassete Pirata, IBSXJAUR, Mães Solteiras, Maquina, and Piss.
The smaller acts are just as mighty, adding layers of unique energy to the experience with artists such as Bia Soull, Piss, Twisted Teens, 800 Gondomar, Tristán!, A Sul, Julien Baker, Cloonee, and Trikk.
This excitement doesn’t stop there. The anticipation for the Fontaines DC and Hayley Williams pairing is only growing, as the duo are set to headline major shows at Slane Castle following their appearances at St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival in February.
The Primavera Sound events continue to build a reputation for delivering genre-defying, unforgettable lineups. For instance, the upcoming Primavera Sound Barcelona 2027 is gearing up with massive headliners, including the Irish rockers and the Paramore vocalist alongside Phoebe Bridgers, Massive Attack, Doechii, Turnstile, Pavement, and Caroline Polachek.
The festival remains a cornerstone of live music, offering fans access to world-class talent and diverse musical narratives. General sale for Primavera Sound Porto kicks off on October 29th, with full festival passes available for €190, and VIP options at €390, offering access to all four days of the event.
