Fleetwood Mac Legend joins Sombr for ‘Go Your Own Way’ in LA
The stage lights were bright, the energy was electric, and the night at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles transformed into a masterclass in musical legacy and raw, genuine connection. Singer Sombr brought one of his most profound influences onto the stage, celebrating the musical giants who shaped his sound.
“I’d like to welcome to the stage someone I look up to so much. This man’s music is one of my biggest influences,” the 21-year-old artist shared, highlighting the deep respect he holds for the legendary guitarist, Lindsey Buckingham.
The tribute went beyond mere performance. Sombr invited the 77-year-old musical icon and solo star to join him, delivering a powerful rendition of the timeless classic, Fleetwood Mac’s Rumors No. 10, “Go Your Own Way.” Buckingham himself took center stage, strumming a burgundy electric guitar and joining Sombr in the iconic chorus refrain.
The evening continued with another unexpected musical pairing. Sombr invited The Neighbourhood singer Jesse Rutherford to perform Rutherford’s 2013 hit, “Sweater Weather.” The atmosphere immediately shifted as Rutherford strutted out, sporting a zipped-up black leather jacket, jeans, and black shades, perfectly embodying the cool, effortless vibe of the track.
The collaboration showcased the breadth of Sombr’s taste, bridging classic rock anthems with contemporary indie sounds. It was a night where musical history and modern pop collided under the spotlight, creating a truly unforgettable experience for the audience.
Following the high-energy performance, Sombr is gearing up for an extensive schedule, continuing his momentum with dates on his You Are the Reason tour through Pechanga Arena in San Diego. The artist is set to hit multiple cities across the US, including Arizona, Oklahoma, Texas, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Missouri.
The upcoming schedule also points to a global adventure, featuring a 2026 US tour concluding in Philadelphia, followed by gigs in Mexico City in January 2027. The journey continues beyond North America with a run of festival shows in South America in March, and exciting dates in Australia and New Zealand in April.
