Fallout Big Brother spin-off set for 2027

The world of post-apocalyptic survival just got a whole lot more competitive. Amazon Prime Video is gearing up to launch a new reality spin-off, taking the beloved world of Fallout”>Fallout and injecting it with the high-stakes drama of a reality competition.

Titled Fallout Shelter: The Experiment, the series is set within the confines of the iconic Vault-Tec vaults. Instead of simple survival, contestants will face escalating challenges, strategic dilemmas, and moral crossroads as they compete for safety, power, and a massive cash prize of up to $1 million.

The premise promises a deep dive into the social dynamics of the wasteland. Contestants must prove not only their ingenuity and teamwork but also their loyalty and alliances in a game fueled by power dynamics, popularity, and social strategy. It’s a test of character in a world defined by scarcity.

Set in a replica of the world’s most famous games, the show taps directly into the signature dark humour, retro-futurism, and post-apocalyptic storytelling that has defined the Fallout”>Fallout franchise for over two and a half decades.

The creative team behind this exciting venture comes from Studio Lambert, the studio responsible for massively successful reality hits like The Traitors and Squid Game: The Challenge. This pedigree ensures that the series stays true to the world-building and choice-driven ethos of the original games.

Amazon has confirmed the rollout schedule, setting the stage for viewers to jump into the action in 2027. The first four episodes of Fallout Shelter: The Experiment will stream starting on January 13, 2027, with three more episodes following on January 20 and January 27.

The momentum behind the project is already strong, capitalizing on the massive popularity of the original Fallout”>Fallout adaptation. The original series, which premiered in 2024, has been a runaway success, with both its first and second seasons landing among Amazon Prime Video’s top five most-watched shows of all time.

Meanwhile, the main Fallout”>Fallout storyline continues to expand. A third season is already greenlit, which is expected to launch later next year, with stars like Aaron Paul joining the cast and characters such as Annabel O’Hagan and Dave Register promoted to series regulars. With bosses eager to keep the narrative moving, the plan is for the main Fallout”>Fallout series to run for as many as six seasons.
