EMF Founding Keyboardist Derry Brownson Has Passed

The music world is currently grappling with a profound loss, as the foundation of the alt-rock group EMF has lost one of its core members. Derran “Derry” Brownson, the founding keyboardist, has passed away at the age of 55.

The news, shared by the band, struck a chord of devastation among fans and colleagues. In their announcement, EMF expressed deep gratitude for Derry’s time on stage, acknowledging that the only solace they could find was in celebrating his contribution to the group.

Derry Brownson was more than just a musician; he was an integral part of the creative engine that propelled EMF to fame. He co-founded the band alongside bassist Zac Foley, drummer Marc Decloedt, DJ Milf, and singer James Atkin, establishing the distinct sound that defined their career.
