Disturbed plays ‘The Sickness’ live on their AU/NZ tour

The epic saga of Disturbed is gearing up for a massive return to the Antipodes, bringing their landmark album and decades of rock-radio hits to Australia and New Zealand in 2027. After a hiatus from the region, the seven-date arena tour promises to be a monumental celebration of their enduring legacy.

This isn’t just a concert tour; it’s a pilgrimage. The dates are scheduled to kick off on April 22 in Auckland’s Spark Arena, quickly moving across the Tasman to Christchurch, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, and finally Melbourne, concluding with a massive show at Perth’s RAC Arena on May 9.

The show structure is designed to satisfy longtime fans completely. Each night will feature two incredible sets. The first performance will delve deep into the raw power of their 2000 debut album, The Sickness, while the second set will unleash a torrent of hits spanning more than two decades of iconic music.

The Sickness, released in March 2000, remains a cornerstone of the band’s career. It was a defining moment for hard rock, peaking at No. 29 on the Billboard 200 and earning five platinum certifications from the RIAA. Tracks like “Down With the Sickness” cemented the band’s place in rock history, and their subsequent work, including the 2015 cover of “The Sound of Silence,” further broadened their appeal.

The momentum built from that debut continued strongly. Following The Sickness, Disturbed enjoyed an unusually consistent run on the Billboard 200, achieving five consecutive No. 1 albums with Believe, Ten Thousand Fists, Indestructible, Asylum, and Immortalized.

More recently, the band has continued to evolve, releasing their studio album Divisive in 2022, which debuted at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 and featured major radio hits like “Hey You” and “Unstoppable.” With new music continually emerging—including their 2025 single “I Will Not Break”—Disturbed continues to prove their staying power as a force in contemporary rock.

The band’s touring business has also proven its appeal, demonstrated by the success of their 2023 Take Back Your Life tour, which grossed $17.4 million and sold over 336,000 tickets, showing a continued ability to draw large audiences.

The 2027 Australian and New Zealand dates offer fans a rare chance to experience the foundational sound of Disturbed live, packaged with a retrospective look at their incredible journey. Get ready for an unforgettable display of hard rock history as they bring their powerful sound back home.
