Daphni adds 7 new tracks to Butterfly Expanded
The universe of Daphni is getting bigger, and Dan Snaith is leading the charge. Following up his earlier release, the artist has unveiled a much-anticipated two-disc expanded edition of his celebrated Butterfly album, set to arrive on September 25th through his own label, Jiaolong.

In addition to seven brand-new tracks, the release features a thrilling array of remixes from collaborators including Kelbin, Aasthma, Peder Mannerfelt, and BRUX, alongside several fresh takes on the signature “Sad Piano House” sound.
Snaith explained that the decision to expand the work stemmed from a desire to capture music that felt intrinsically linked—music that lived in the same world and shared the same artistic vein. By incorporating these additional pieces, he felt the overall narrative of the album achieved a necessary coherence.

For instance, the remix by Kelbin complements Snaith’s previous work, while the remixes from Peder Mannerfelt and Aasthma emerged from direct communication after Snaith discovered their music on Bandcamp.
