Danger Mouse refuses to join CeeLo Green on Gnarls Barkley tour

The anticipated reunion of Gnarls Barkley and Danger Mouse has taken an unexpected detour, as the planned North American tour is being revamped without the presence of one of its key figures.

The ‘To Whom It Still Concerns‘ tour, initially hyped as the duo’s first run in eighteen years, has been adjusted following a recent clarification from CeeLo Green. Despite initial advertisements featuring both Green and Danger Mouse, the project will not include Danger Mouse in the live performances.

Danger Mouse, whose real name is Brian Burton, has confirmed that he will not be performing on the dates. In a social media post, Green addressed the situation directly, stating, “Danger Mouse will not be performing. We want no misunderstandings or disappointments etc.”

Green further elaborated on the working relationship, describing Burton as his “producer” and “business partner,” emphasizing that they mutually support each other. While the reunion takes a different form, Green expressed his sentiment, adding that Burton “will be there in spirit,” though he admitted that this particular run “probably won’t happen again.”

The promotional artwork for the North American leg has since been updated to reflect the current lineup, billed simply as CeeLo Green performing Gnarls Barkley.

The tour itinerary remains ambitious, kicking off in the United States with dates scheduled for November and extending into December across the UK.

The North American leg begins on November 5th in San Francisco, California, with subsequent stops including Los Angeles, Atlanta, Detroit, Boston, and New York.

The European dates are set for December, including stops in Manchester, Glasgow, Wolverhampton, and London.
