Daft Punk Pyramid Stage LEGO set

When legendary electronic duo Daft Punk decided to call it quits in 2021, their musical legacy didn’t fade—it simply found a new dimension. Now, the helmeted icons are channeling their iconic energy into a spectacular collaboration with the LEGO Group, blending the magic of building blocks with the timeless allure of electronic music.

This partnership is more than just a crossover; it’s a journey spanning products, engaging content, and deep fan experiences. At the heart of the collaboration is an official LEGO set inspired by the magnificent pyramid stage from Daft Punk’s landmark 2007 Alive tour, inviting fans to reconstruct a piece of electronic music history.

The collaboration officially kicks off with a visually stunning short film that sets the stage for the festivities. The film features Daft Punk minifigures navigating a mysterious landscape, propelled by a holographic red LEGO brick. As the scene unfolds, the environment gradually transforms into an architectural playground, perfectly synchronized to the beats of “Voyager” from 2001’s Discovery and “Human After All,” the title track from Daft Punk’s 2005 album. The entire experience is captured under the clever tagline: Builders After All.

The inspiration behind the physical set is rooted in fan creativity. A pyramid stage model was originally conceived by Luxembourg-based designer Patrick Harboun and his son. This design successfully won the LEGO Ideas Music to Our Ears challenge in 2020, demonstrating a powerful desire among fans to bring their musical dreams to life. It is now advancing to become an official LEGO set, giving the community a chance to physically recreate one of the most recognizable stage designs in electronic music.

For the artists and the builders alike, the synergy is undeniable. Cédric Hervet, Daft Punk’s creative director, praised the fan-created design, calling the pyramid one of the most recognisable expressions of Daft Punk’s visual world. This shared appreciation for creativity and innovation is exactly what makes the partnership so special. Julia Goldin, LEGO Group chief product and marketing officer, echoed this sentiment, noting that both brands share an enduring appeal, inspiring generations through a deep connection with their fans.

It is this potent combination of artistic vision and building possibility that ensures the collaboration will continue to inspire and captivate audiences worldwide.
