Circa Survive Blue Sky Noise splatter LP
The world of post-hardcore is buzzing with news from Circa Survive, who have recently teamed up with fellow musical heavyweights for an exclusive vinyl release of their celebrated third album, Blue Sky Noise.
This isn’t just another record; it’s a limited edition experience. The band has partnered with the progressive post-hardcore giants Circa Survive to bring an exclusive variant of Blue Sky Noise to vinyl. This special pressing, pressed on “Blue Sky Splatter” vinyl, is strictly limited to 500 copies and can be acquired now in the shop.
Beyond the physical product, the making of Blue Sky Noise was a fascinating journey of collaboration. While the band had previously worked with producer Brian McTernan on their earlier releases, for this album they brought in the talents of David Bottrill, known for his work with Tool and King Crimson.
The creative process itself proved to be a powerful bonding experience. Vocalist Anthony Green shared how navigating self-doubt can be paralyzing until you find the right support system. He recalled moments where he needed his bandmates’ input to push through creative blocks, admitting that in some instances, he simply turned to them and said, “I fucking can’t handle anything right now, help me write stuff.” Through these shared efforts, the band developed a deep trust, building a powerful creative muscle that made the final product resonate.
This spirit of collaboration and renewed energy is fueling Circa Survive’s return after an indefinite hiatus. The band is finally ready to step back into the spotlight, kicking off their first shows in five years with three nights at Philadelphia’s The Fillmore in September.
