Castlevania announces 40th anniversary orchestral concerts

Konami Unveils Epic 40th Anniversary Celebration for Castlevania

The gothic horror action-adventure series that has captivated gamers for four decades is reaching a monumental milestone. Konami has officially confirmed plans to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Castlevania legacy with a spectacular trio of orchestral concerts, promising a journey back to the roots of one of gaming’s most iconic franchises.

The journey began back in 1986 with the release of Castlevania and Vampire Killer, setting the stage for a long and storied history filled with sequels, spin-offs, and critically acclaimed adaptations. Now, as the franchise steps into its 40th year, Konami is honoring the dedication of its fans by offering a rich multimedia experience that spans music, media, and live performance.

Beyond the celebratory concerts, Konami is embracing the music that has defined the series. The publisher announced plans to make music from the franchise more accessible, making various titles available for streaming and releasing select soundtracks on vinyl for dedicated collectors. Fans can already look forward to these releases, with the original Castlevania soundtrack and the music from Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night already confirmed for vinyl release.

The celebration extends into the digital realm as well. Music from Castlevania Black & Red will soon be available to stream, adding another layer to the sonic history of the series. To mark this momentous occasion, Konami is organizing the ‘Castlevania 40th Anniversary: An Orchestral Concert,’ an event designed to be a grand spectacle.

This landmark event will take place in early 2027, bringing the epic score to three major global cities: Tokyo, London, and Los Angeles. Details regarding the schedule and specifics of these orchestral performances are expected to be announced shortly.

In a message reflecting on the milestone, Castlevania producers emphasized the deep appreciation for the community, noting that forty years is a significant achievement. They further offered free access to the original Castlevania application for a limited time, inviting everyone to relive the story of its beginning. Alongside this, the team is also preparing special discount sales and celebratory videos for the dedicated fanbase, all aimed at honoring the series’ enduring legacy and looking forward to future developments.
