Budjerah announces Australian tour for ‘Gentleman’
Australian singer-songwriter Budjerah is hitting the road with Gentleman on the road, embarking on The Gentleman Tour which promises an emotional and live-first experience for fans.
This exciting tour, scheduled for October and November, follows the release of his debut album, positioning Budjerah as an artist moving into a new chapter after years spent cultivating his talent. The journey from teenage breakthrough to Platinum status, including two ARIA Awards, culminated in this moment: preparing to deliver a full-length musical statement.
Budjerah emphasizes that being on stage is the absolute favourite part of his job. “I’m so excited to be going on tour again!” he shared. “Being on stage is my favourite part of my job and I can’t wait to see my fans again. When I was making the album, it was with the live performance in mind and I just want to give everyone the best night of their life.”
The heart of Gentleman lies in its commitment to live performance. The 11-track album draws heavily from the pop and R&B sounds Budjerah grew up loving, weaving in the personal growth he experienced between the ages of twenty and twenty-four.
The music itself is a rich tapestry, featuring powerful tracks like “Even At Worst,” “Could I Be,” “Gentleman,” and “Want You Back,” allowing Budjerah’s voice—warm, elastic, and built for big emotional turns—to take center stage.
The sound of the album was masterfully crafted by Grammy Award winner Om’Mas Keith, whose pedigree includes work with titans like Frank Ocean and Jay-Z. This production elevates the project beyond a simple debut, establishing it as the arrival of an artist who has spent years collecting the perfect songs, lessons, and confidence to fully step into his own distinctive sound.
The album is further amplified by a heavyweight group of collaborators, including Poo Bear, Diane Warren, Philip Lawrence, Rob Lewis, Autumn Rowe, and Alex Burnett, adding depth and texture to the musical experience.
Before the main tour kicks off, Budjerah will connect directly with his audience through a series of free, stripped-back performances and signings at select independent record stores in July. These intimate events include appearances at Hum On King in Newtown, NSW, Badlands Vinyl in Tweed Heads, NSW, and Sound Merch in Collingwood, VIC.
The momentum builds as presale tickets for The Gentleman Tour are now available. General tickets go on sale this Thursday, July 23, at 10 a.m. AEST.
