The initial spark came while writing songs for the documentary Canada’s Wild Eastern Edge, an experience that led him down a path of extensive research and inspiration for his subsequent songs.

This research infused his music with a unique, exciting energy, pushing him toward a style that felt distinctly Canadian. The resulting tracks are steeped in the nation’s history and geography, featuring titles such as When Canada Joined Newfoundland, The Battle of Lundy’s Lane, and Canada’s Wild Eastern Edge.

The album delves into key milestones and landscapes, offering listeners a journey through the country. The tracklist is packed with evocative titles, including The Ballad of Terry Fox, 51st State, and When Canada Joined Newfoundland.

Adding to the collection is a special digital bonus track, Lake Ontario, which was released digitally, possibly due to the very recent nature of the public interest surrounding the naming controversy for the lake.

The complete album, How’s It Goin’, promises an immersive experience, featuring a diverse range of Canadian themes. It includes tracks like Highway 16, Diesel & Dirt, A Handful of Gold, and The Bridge, alongside the previously released material.
