Biddy Blas drowns in memes after Star Wars viral moment
When you think of high-stakes galactic racing, you might imagine epic starships and laser blasts. But sometimes, the biggest explosions happen in the realm of memes, and the breakout star is a grumply wrestler named Biddy Blas.
The chaos began when the game Star Wars: Galactic Racer launched this month, plunging players into the lawless Outer Rim where syndicates bankroll chaos and champions are forged in an underground circuit known as The Galactic League. Players race across the galaxy, but the real thrill often lies in the characters they encounter.
While the roster included movie favorites like Sebulba and Ben Quadinaros, it was the character Biddy Blas that quickly became an unexpected sensation. Created to embody a unique blend of rage, winning, and losing, Biddy Blas offered the perfect, grumpy foil for the high-octane racing experience.
The character’s appeal quickly spilled out of the game and into the digital landscape. The moment Biddy Blas truly went viral was triggered by one of his memorable interactions. Instead of politely asking someone to record a name, Biddy Blas famously commanded, “scrib doon,” which instantly became an earworm on social media.
This simple phrase, born from a world of simulated galactic mayhem, transcended the game itself, spawning countless memes and online references. The reaction from the character’s voice actor, British wrestler Charles Crowley, was anything but subtle.
Crowley admitted that while he was proud of the character and the work that went into him, the virality was an overwhelming experience. “I was drowning in Biddy Blas memes,” he shared, describing the sudden shift from a focused project to an unexpected, booming wave of internet creativity.
For Crowley, the experience was a genuine surprise. He realized that his creation had achieved something far beyond a successful game launch—it had become a cultural phenomenon, proving that sometimes, the most memorable races are the ones that cross over into the realm of pure, unadulterated internet fun.
