Beach Boys pull summer tour dates for recharge

The legendary Beach Boys have decided to hit the pause button on their summer tour dates, offering fans a new direction for those sun-drenched days. Instead of road trips and concert halls, the band has suggested that listeners trade the stage for the ocean, encouraging everyone to go surfin’.

This decision was shared recently by Mike Love, reflecting on the joy of their performances while simultaneously marking significant milestones in music history. He noted that playing for audiences remains the highlight of their summer, especially as they celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States and honor the 60th Anniversary of Pet Sounds.

After a period of enjoying the good vibrations out on the water, the group is taking a short break to recharge before hitting the road again in September. This shift allows them to savor their legacy while preparing for the next chapter of their journey.

The scheduling adjustments involve postponing several planned performances and updating dates for upcoming stops across the country. Following Bruce Johnston’s departure from the band in March, the group has adjusted their itinerary while ensuring that all ticket holders will be honored at the new locations.

For example, dates originally scheduled for back-to-back nights at the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls have been cancelled outright. However, opportunities to experience the music are still on the calendar. The concert previously slated for the Grey Eagle Event Centre in Calgary has been rescheduled to October 19, and their appearance at the River Cree Resort & Casino in Edmonton has been moved to May 8, 2027.

Fans can still secure tickets for all postponed gigs under the revised schedule. The updated tour dates for the 2026–2027 period include stops in places like West Springfield, MA, North Myrtle Beach, SC, Bloomington, IL, and Nashville, TN, ensuring that the sound of summer continues to reach new shores.
