Avalanches Australia Tour 2027

Get ready to rumble: electronic music pioneers The Avalanches are set to deliver an unforgettable live experience across Australia in early 2027, culminating in a performance at the iconic Sydney Opera House Forecourt.

Led by the trio of Robbie Chater, Tony Di Blasi, and Andy Szekeres, these electronic music architects are gearing up for a six-city tour across Australia in February and March. This sprawling journey will take fans from the Perth Festival to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne and finally bring the magic to Sydney.

The journey kicks off with a vibrant run across the continent, beginning with performances at the Perth Festival before heading east to Adelaide’s Hindley St Music Hall, followed by a stop at Melbourne’s Live At The Gardens, Brisbane’s On The Banks, and finally, the spectacular Sydney Opera House.

The Australian leg of the tour is more than just a concert series; it’s a celebration of a sound that has continually reconstructed the DNA of electronic music for over two decades. The Avalanches earned their reputation by ingeniously weaving thousands of vinyl samples—from Françoise Hardy and Madonna to Raekwon—into a musical patchwork, establishing themselves as a global footprint for collaborative sampology in the 21st century.

Their legacy continues with acclaimed albums like Since I Left You, , which instantly became a classic, and follow-ups such as Wildflower and We Will Always Love You, which garnered significant recognition, including the Australian Music Prize. The band’s genius lies in taking the sonic leftovers of history and transforming them into something immediate and timeless.

Now, The Avalanches are diving deeper into their creative process with their fourth studio album, No Bad Memories, set for release in October. This new work draws inspiration from the sonic remnants of modern life, exploring rhythmic experiments using the hallmarks of forgotten technologies like hard drives and computer hardware.

The new record features compelling collaborations, including tracks with artists such as Nikki Nair, Jamie xx, Karen O, and John Glacier. It showcases the band’s ability to find profound beauty in the noise of the digital age, proving that the most extraordinary music is often found in the unexpected places.

Adding further energy to the tour are special guests, including electronic artist HAAi, whose new collection DIGITiSE recently dropped. The anticipation builds as the band prepares to bring their kaleidoscopic, deeply human storytelling to the grandest stage our city can offer, promising an extraordinary summer moment.

Fans can secure tickets for the 2027 Australian tour starting October 6th. It is a chance to witness the chaos, the virtuosity, and the sheer joy of The Avalanches’ sound as they take their creative journey onto the stage.
