Music Heals: Toronto Benefit Show Supports Northern Ontario First Nations After Wildfires

A powerful convergence of music and community support is coming to Toronto as over twenty artists gather to host a benefit show dedicated to the 25 Northern Ontario First Nations communities impacted by last month’s devastating wildfires. The event, scheduled for Saturday, August 29, at the Concert Hall, promises to be an evening of incredible talent used to raise crucial funds for recovery and support.

The lineup is already drawing attention, featuring a dynamic mix of established and emerging artists. Headlining the evening will be celebrated figures such as Jeremy Dutcher, Aysanabee, Julian Taylor, DJ Shub, Sebastian Gaskin, and Natasha Fisher. They will be joined by a large ensemble of talented musicians, including Drezus, Logan Staats, Digging Roots, Mimi O’Bonsawin, Amanda Rheaume, Thea May, Adrian Sutherland, Skye Wallace, The North Sound, Benjamin Dakota Rogers, Derek Miller, Renée Coughlin, Jace Martin, Housewife, miles from nowhere., Dan Walsh, Sara Kae, JD Crosstown, Graeme Jonez, Layla Staats, James Wilson, Semiah, Hillary Watson, and The Resilience.

One hundred percent of all proceeds generated from the benefit show will be donated directly to the Mikinakoos Children’s Fund, ensuring that resources are channeled directly to support First Nations youth from the affected communities.
