Aerosmith Roars Live at Hollywood Bowl
The wait is over. After a period of uncertainty, the legendary Aerosmith is set to take the stage once again, delivering a spectacular, guest-packed return to the arena. Joe Perry famously predicted the return, stating that the audience had not witnessed the band’s performance in a long time, and now the promise is about to be fulfilled.
On October 29 and November 1, Aerosmith will hit the Hollywood Bowl for two special concerts titled California, Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends. These events are set to be a monument to rock history, bringing together the core of the band—Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer, and Brad Whitford—alongside an astonishing roster of musical royalty.
The lineup is a veritable who’s who of rock music, designed to celebrate the band’s massive influence across generations. Guests include titans like Run-D.M.C., Heart, Billy Idol, Slash, Duff McKagan, and Tom Morello, alongside iconic figures such as the Black Crowes, Sammy Hagar, Eric Church, and Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell. The list also features extended musical talent including Marcus King, Nuno Bettencourt, Pat Monahan, and Godsmack’s Sully Erna, all alongside producer and musician Andrew Watt.
This convergence of artists perfectly reflects Aerosmith’s enduring place at the center of rock and roll. The presence of acts like Run-D.M.C. pays homage to the band’s role in bridging rock and hip-hop, while the inclusion of acts like Heart and the Black Crowes highlights the band’s enormous cross-generational reach.
The return to the stage comes after a challenging period. The band’s touring future was once thrown into doubt following Steven Tyler’s vocal cord and larynx issues in September 2023. The decision to tour was paused, and ultimately, the band announced they would never resume touring.
However, the desire to perform persisted. Over the past year, Steven Tyler has made high-profile appearances, including performances at Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s Back to the Beginning farewell concert, demonstrating a resilience that defined the journey back to the stage. This recent activity, alongside collaborations like the EP One More Time with Yungblud, signaled a shift—a refusal to let the music fade.
Joe Perry’s confidence was clear: while the path of traditional touring was uncertain, the magic of the music still demanded an outlet. That prediction, made some time ago, is now being realized in a celebration of rock legacy, promising an unforgettable night at the Hollywood Bowl.
