A$AP Rocky’s Trippy Shroom Clouds on Streaming
The world of hip-hop is buzzing with new releases, and the latest ripple comes from Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky, who is continuing to expand his sonic universe with his latest project, Don’t Be Dumb – Disc 2.
The rollout for the deluxe collection kicked off with a highly anticipated single, “Shroom Clouds,” which officially landed on streaming services on Friday, October 16th. This track is more than just a song; it’s a vibrant exploration of Rocky’s unique aesthetic and lyrical flow.
The track itself is a masterclass in psychedelic vibes, helmed by the visionary production of Hector Delgado. The lyrics dive deep into a hazy, yet catchy chorus, capturing a feeling that perfectly mirrors the music’s theme: “Super stoned, super high/ March, April, May, shroom, July/ Super stoned, super high/ See mushroom clouds in the sky.”
Fans familiar with Rocky’s earlier work know this kind of escapism is not new. “Shroom Clouds” echoes the vibe of previous live performances, including appearances at events like Governors Ball and Amazon Music Live, solidifying a shared, immersive experience for his audience.
The new installment, Disc 2, is positioned as the next evolution in Rocky’s career. It gathers tracks from alter egos that didn’t receive full albums, suggesting a rich tapestry of creative material waiting to be explored, signaling the start of a new chapter.
This follow-up builds on the success of the original Don’t Be Dumb album, which debuted strongly on the Billboard 200 chart with 123,000 album-equivalent units. The success of the previous project set a high bar, and the momentum continues to build toward this new release.
Beyond the music, Rocky is gearing up for a major global stage. After concluding his European tour, the 38-year-old will be bringing the Don’t Be Dumb World Tour to five arenas across Australia and New Zealand this December, offering fans an unforgettable live experience.
The creative output continues to drive excitement, with hints emerging about future collaborations and personal life, including recent buzz surrounding hints from Rihanna regarding potential future endeavors with Rocky in 2026.
