5 new Rolling Stones songs drop for Loose Lips deluxe

The legendary Rolling Stones are proving that creative energy knows no age. The band is set to deliver a fresh wave of sound with five exciting new tracks added to the deluxe edition of their album ‘Foreign Tongues’, promising fans an extended journey into their timeless blues and rock groove.

This extended release, titled ‘Loose Lips’, will feature the five new additions: ‘Where There’s A Will’, ‘Who You Callin’ Crazy’, ‘Human Tide’, ‘Bad Luck Hideaway’, and ‘She Still Comes Around’. These songs were born during the creative period surrounding the original LP, marking the band’s 25th full-length project.

The new collection offers a delightful mix of sounds, including a collaboration that features jazz saxophonist Courtney Pine on ‘Who You Callin’ Crazy‘. Meanwhile, a standout track, ‘Bad Luck Hideaway‘, is a potent duet between Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, with Charlie Watts contributing the drums. This track has already garnered attention, having appeared as a bonus on the original iTunes edition and is now available as the B-side to ‘Mr Charm‘.

Beyond the new music, the creative momentum at the band seems unstoppable. Mick Jagger has spoken openly about his songwriting process, admitting he is constantly inspired and very open-minded about writing material for other artists, noting that an idea doesn’t have to be for The Rolling Stones to be valid. He’s embraced the idea that inspiration can lead anywhere, whether it’s for the Stones or another artist entirely.

This collaborative spirit has recently been evident in the studio, with saxophonist Courtney Pine recently participating in another session with Jagger, further fueling the band’s ongoing creative endeavors. While the focus is on new recordings, the band continues to ponder their next steps, balancing the pursuit of creative output with the logistics of touring.

Questions about future live dates and tours remain on the table. While the desire for a grand return to Glastonbury and other major festivals persists, the reality of coordinating schedules for a full-scale tour is proving a complex logistical challenge for the group. Guitarist Keith Richards has not committed to a full-scale tour, reflecting the nuanced reality of planning such massive undertakings.

Despite the constraints, the enthusiasm remains high. Ronnie Wood, for example, expressed readiness to go whenever the time is right, emphasizing that a successful tour requires the collective enthusiasm of everyone involved. The band continues to navigate the beautiful, unpredictable road of rock and roll, always ready to inject new rhythms into the world.
